The limits

So you know before you sign up. Each of these is planned. None of them is described here as working before it is.

What LocalLedger does not do yet

  1. CSV statements only.

    PDF statements are not supported yet.

  2. No bank feed.

    You upload the statement; LocalLedger does not connect to your bank.

  3. No sync with accounting software yet.

  4. No automatic categorization yet.

How your records are looked after

  • Statements you upload are stored privately. Nothing is served from a public address, and there is no link that works without signing in.
  • Only members of your workspace can open your records. Membership is re-checked every single time, on every action.
  • Your original file is never altered. Everything LocalLedger works out is derived from it and kept separately, so the document you uploaded stays exactly as you sent it.
  • Every upload, download and change is recorded with who did it and when. You can read that history, and export all of it, at any time.
  • Nothing is read for you or guessed at. When a row cannot be read exactly, LocalLedger asks you rather than inventing a figure.
